Welcome to this year's alumni tournament!
We are so excited for another year of great play between generations and decades of past Lions.
​
There will be 3 divisions for 2024: Mens Casual (1 game), Mens Competitive (3 games) and Women's (1 game) played across Thursday evening, Friday evening and Saturday day. The Mens Competitive division will wrap up with a Championship Final.
Each player will register as an individual, with the option of choosing a Team Captain. A minimum of 8 players will be required to form a team. All registrations without a team identified will be sorted based on final registration numbers.

The fee system will be based on division and charges range based on division selection.
The tournament will be sanctioned by Basketball Manitoba - including insurance and referee's.

Each participating player will receive a t-shirt for play - coordinated colors and numbers to your team. Consider it a keepsake for this year's tournament!

No refunds accepted.

Registration will close on Sunday, April 8th at 5pm. Please ensure registration is completed prior to then.

GAME PLAY - RULES + REGS
Games will start as close to the scheduled start time as possible. This may affect warm-up and halftime lengths.
Warm-ups are scheduled for 5 minutes in length. Halftimes are scheduled for 3 minutes in length.

Will follow all FIBA Rules inclusive of rules for fouls (personal + team)

2 technical fouls by any player for disciplinary reasons over the duration of the tournament will result in individual disqualification. This player will not be allowed to play in any other games over the weekend and will not be refunded any money.

​Game Time

Games will consist of 4, 10 minute quarters (running time)

The last 2 minutes of the game will be stopped time
-
30 second shot clock, 10 seconds backcourt count
-
No overtime will be permitted (game will end in a tie)

Timeouts

Each team will receive 1 timeout per quarter
-
Timeouts can be called whenever by anyone on the floor or bench

Timeouts will stop the clock

Substitutions​
-
Substitutions can occur on a dead ball or on the fly

Player must exit off court (at the bench) before a sub can be on the floor

Men's Competitive: The two teams with the most wins will advance to the championship game. In case of a tie, points for and against will be added up - the teams with the fewest points against will advance. In the situation a 2nd tie occurs, a coin toss will finalize the decision.
